Album Reviews
A brilliant new album, emotional, witty and expertly produced by Boo Hewerdine- BB Skone Pembrokeshire Music Show
It is enlightening, evocative, thought-provoking and inspirational in equal measure mixed with spoonful of gentle humour. The tunes are delightful and include a couple of earworms! Graham Brace-Llangwm Lit/Music Fest
Coming in a hardback case with extensive songs notes and lyrics, it’s an album steeped in the broad palette of musical and cultural traditions that feed into British folk music in all its hybrid roots, an album for those who have wondered where they belong, where they’ve come from, and found an answer in the songs. A wee book and CD packed with interesting songs of identity, immigration and belonging –Hugh Taylor, Celtic Music Radio
Album review by Paul Kerr, Blabber & Smoke
This is an intriguing album. On the face of it it’s a collection of expertly played songs which hark back to singer/songwriter folksiness of the seventies in their manner and delivery. Indeed, there are occasions when the ghost of Jake Thackray seems to be hidden within the grooves although much of the album tackles fairly heavyweight themes including identity, race, immigration and empire.

My album of the year……possibly most significant in the last 50.
